This is the last month of my EVS. I cant even describe my happiness with words. First, i am so grateful for myself to take such a decision, later to my organisation that has given me so many opportunities. All the kids that i have been working together, every one of them are so special and uniqur and i love all of them. And finally, my friends, my little family, I will never forget even one of them. I establish such great friendships, I saw 12 different countries, most of them were by hitchiking, i ate different things, i saw other cultures, I learnt new languages, I improved my mentality 🙂 I found a job that i will be happy to work.
In the end of one year adventure, I made myself. Now its time to move on. Pa pa la revedere! I am gonna miss you Rumenia, but dont worry, it will not take too much time to meet again ♥️
After Barcelona, we went to Madrid, we wandered around a bit then we passed to Toledo, the city of Caro. In Christmas and New Year we were there with her family. They hostes us very well. Thanks from here one more time.
Christmas night, before the dinner with Caro’s parents 🙂Me and Mus trying to sing a Spanish carol song Toledo Capitaaaaal
Then three of us, me, Caro and Mus went to Madrid to take the bus for Lisbon. IT WAS AMAZING. With Mus, we swam in the ocean for the first time in our lives in the middle of winter, January. The weather wad hoooot, Lisbon was soooo beautiful and livable for me. People were chill and sloow. So so sooooo nice. Muy bien.
AND I SAW GUERNICA. When we turned back, it was already project writing time. And i wrote a training about Roma.
We are in the end of the year. I am really happy. And this month is full of actions also. Caro’s family invited Me and Mus to Spain in order to spend the Christmas with them. She sent invitation letters for us last month but they never arrived. So me and Mus had to go to the Spanish embassy without the letters. We could take the Schengen within 3 days even though there were some problems in the application.
When they called us to come to embassy to get our visas 🙂
After we came back and staying one night -ofcourse- we went to Macedonia as cockroaches. We had fun, learn things. And it was oır first and probably last time four of us together in a “holiday”
Was cold but we were happy♥️No words
When we turned back, it was already Christmas party and Secret Santa. That night me and Caro won awards, she was the party animal and i wa the most active 😀
Aaaand the day of the daaaaayyyssss!
We departed from Reşita to go to Budapest, then Barcelonaaaa. My words are not enougj to describe so i will just put some pictures!

I dont know why but besides schools, this months was full of parties. We have a new Portugese girl and a Greek guy. The month started with their arrival and a teambuilding in Coronini. I think teambuilding there was a good idea even though it was so fucking cold. We had fun and got to know each others better, both the volunteers and the office. It could have been a better teambuilding, but still was useful.
Welcome SpyrosTeamBuildingTeamBuilding
And then it was Gizem’s birthday party…. which was a bit crazy 🙂
Girlz and my little kiddo♥️
Theeeeeennn we went to Timişoara because me and Caro wanted to go a club, it was first hitchiking experience of Spyros but we were lucky and we took just one car 🙂 and we the other day we were dead and we came back by train.
This month was a productive month because we started to go different places such as Primavara Cemter where the disabled kids are. We did so many activities with kids both in the morning and in the evening.
In HalloweenIt was Helene’s birthday, we wore fancy clothers and went to have a dinner all together ♥️Important people while talking important things
While we were turning back from mid-term, me and Mustafa learnt thay we are going to Macedonia. So we just stayed one night at home then we left.
Carolina from Portugal is in a mosque for the first time in her life, Skopje
We had a farewell party to our French volunteer, Sarah and we went to a lake to have some bbq. Almost all the family was there 🙂
Lake Doman
This month also was the project month, and i wanted to write a project about disabilities so i started to prepare it by staying mainly in the office and learning how to do it.
Well.. This month is the most important month of the year, cause it my birthday 😀
It started pretty good. Me, Caro and Mus went to Milcoveni to see the exchange and stayed there 5 days. I am not sure we learnt some things but yeah, it was funny.
Some drunk people in Maria’s place 😂
After turning back home, Me and Mustafa suddenly decided to go to Montenegro with Beg and we bough out tickets directly. And luckily, this time Beg could find accommodation for us. We stayed 5 years in Budva, and Kotor. I reeealllly liked Kotor.
Me, Beg, Melike, Mus and Lorenzo in BudvaKotor
Then Beg went to Macedonia back and we passed to Albania from Montenegro by hitchiking. First we stopped in Shkoder, stayed one night and went to Tirane. Albania is a small but nice country, and although we heard so many bad things about Albanians, the country and hitchiking there, we didnt have any problem. Besides, while going to Macedonia to go to Bulgaria, i can even say that wr were so lucky.
ShkoderTirane
After Albania, we wanted to go to Bulgaria but we needed to pass by Macedonia. So we talked with Beg and went to her house in Prilep, we met with her EVS friends Jose and Francesco, we cooked and ate, and so on.
Then we were in Sofia, well was nice but not the best city that we have ever seen.
Sofia
My birthday…. was so special. I will not explain it here. Lets skip 🙂
Mid teeeerrrmmmm
The night of my birthday, we were supposed to go to Braşov with Mus and unfortunately Lucia. But luckily i had Mustafa and i have already known all the participants in mid-term because i was with them in on arrival. Even though the activities were kinda boring, i was happy to see my friends again.
Wowwowowowowo Jullllyyyy iissss hereeeeeee! This is the moooost active month of the year i guess, you will see below 🙂
Before this month, i said to Daniel that i want to learn how to write a project. And he was so okay and started to teach me and my little family all together. Me, Caro, Mus and Helene were writing and he was supposed to check. Beginnig was good, then so many things ( i mean activities 😀 ) happened and we stopped at some point.
Custom Festival is in tooowwnnn!
There was a festival in the Stegma and Nevo had agreement with the municipality for us being volunteer during the festival. Our main task was cleaning the area. They gave us free food and alcohol ( if you know how to behave, you can find the trick to get more of them). There were John Newman, The Rasmus, some jazz guys and the last concert was Emir Kusturica and his band who were soooooooooo nice. It was raining cats and dogs but we were all together, with rubbish bags on us, drunk and having fun under the rain.
Mus taking care of my swing 🙂Rain cant stop us!La familia ♥️
Birthday of Cosmos
Weeeelllll, after all these memories, there is one that we will never forget in our lives. Literally getting drunk as fuck with 5lt white wine at 6 pm!
The most “normal” picture 🙂
Then we called Cosmos to celebrate his birthday, he came with more wine, got drunk, we slept at 10pm 🙂 There was a jazz festival in Garana, we went there to set up camps, Caro and Marcian enjoyed the water!

So Keres? Europa, Novi Sad
Daniel sent aaaalll the volınteers to Novi Sad, Serbia for the annual Roma Forum So Keres. There were soooo many people from all over Europe. We had to choose one topic/group that we want to work during 5 days and present in the end. The groups were likee gender issues, women, photograph, Roma discrimination, Art, Music workshops etc.. Me and Helene chose music. There is one Roma band from Hungary, we were working with them 5-6 songs to sing in the biggest event in the end. It was really really so amazing. I felt so great and grateful to my decision and my life. We danced all together in the beach next to Danube river, was such a night in my life 🙂

The Number Two Biiiiiig Triiip-Croatia and Bosnia ♥️
After the forum finished, me, Mus and Helene departed for Zagreb. It took a bit much time to leave Serbia actually, but at some point we found the main “truck” road and stopped some Turkish trucks. One guy took us till the border, he gave us food and drinks, after the border i stopped one more Turkish truck, he took us somewhere 20km far away Zagreb, it was dark and rainy so he let us stay in the truck and in the morning, he prepared breakfast for us. Helene was having her first Turkish breakfast. Then he left us somewhere close to city center of Zagreb ( 3hours walking close).
Highway to hell (Serbia-Croatia)Enjoying our breakfast in the truck
After the tough trip to Zagreb, we wanted to go to Split by hitchiking buuuut we learnt how difficult it is by experiencing (2 hours waiting, nobody stopped). Then we decided to go by bus 😀 Finally we were in Split which was amaaaaaziing and again because of the lack of accommodation, we had some tough times, but it was worthy 🙂
Beautiful Split🌸
Bosnia-Herzegovina, country of the pain….
After Split, we arrived to Mostar. It was so crowded but still sooo nice. Here, Helene heard “ezan/pray” for the first time on the Mostar Bridge.

Aterwards, we went to Sarajevo. Seeing the buildings with bullet marks was so sad. They still have the bad memories of war. And it was one of the most intercultural cities i have ever seen in my life. There is one line, the right side of the line is totally like from Ottoman Empire, the other side is totally a Europe city.
This is gonna be never ending summer, full of activities, full of friendship, and full of trips!
When i came back from on arrival, we made a small teambuilding in the youth center then we went to the garden of Claudiu’s parents to have some bbq. Although it was rainy, it was quite okay!
Serbia with my Beg🌸
Yeeeesssss yes yes yess! After Macedonia, finally we met in Serbia with Begüm. Me and Mustafa arrived by hitchiking and we were on the road without accommodation, so was kinds difficult trip.
Belgrad, a missing hug
Actually this trip was like 3-4 days, but we had lots of trouble such as couldnt find accommodation in couchsurfing, or in the cheap hostels etc.. yeah in the end we paid two nights in a hostel, and one night we were so broke, we were planning to sleep under the bridges 🙂 In the end, we went to the only mosque in Belgrade to ask them if they have a room for us or no. Mustafa met with a guy there and explained the situation, the guy gave us money to spend the night in a hostel. Money but 100 euro and some more 🙂 We were so surprised and thankful at the same time 🙂 and afterwards with that money, we ate sushi ♥️
Best sushi in town 🙂Me, Mus and Beg in Zemun 🙂
As volunteers, we decided to do some big events in the city during the summer and we planned it with the office mainly. This month i met with my mentor for the first time, after 4 months 🙂 Her name is Ada and she seems nice, she came with me to the hairdresser to get my haircut. And i wanted to make it shorter, so Eva cut it again 😀
With all the volunteers, we went to Dognacea to set up camp. It was veeerryy nice and we swam a loot in the lake. Here are some photos from Dognacea 🙂
Dani the big boss checking the tents 😀Mus with his cute face in the morning 🙂Lilla and the others enjoying their lives 🙂
This was the month that Lucas left. I like this guy, he is like a kid sometimes but he is an 19 years old teenager.. so everything that he says, well we have to understand 😀
Luca is leaving, Timişoara Airport
In the end of this month, i had guests from my on arrival training. Burak and Vitali. They were doing hitchiking to Serbia and needed to stay in our house, they left but they had so many troubles in Serbia. After 2-3 days suffering, they came back again 🙂
This month (talking about May) started well because we were on a big trip. When we came back, there was a youth exchange group in the city. Although there were no Turkish group, there was one Turkish participant from Estonia, Selman, back then we did not know that we will be good friends soon, now we are 🙂 We showed the city because Reşita is a metropol which takes too much time 🙂
By the way, my books arriiiveeeeddd! I asked some people to donate books to me, and some of them did including my father. So they sent me some books from my favourite writer, they are like almost 50 books which make me soooo happpy!
Also nowadays, we had been doing out theatre play which is about “voting”. To be honest, it was interesting im the beginning, but as we did it, it turned something like a torture. We were in the different points of city during 2 days pushing the doors and there were so less people watching. This experience taught me never believe in Daniel 🙂
Poor people under the sun 🙂Only good thing, Sarah playing her accordion 🙂
One of the other big events of this month was our first treasure hunt in the city. Still it was about EU countries and voting things. We really worked hard to prepare it actually. The team was cockroaches as always (Me, Helene, Eva and Mus) The day that we went to put the clues around city, we learnt that nobody talked with the high schoolers and nobody was there. We were so pissed off, but in the end we did it with some youngsters and my team won it 🙂 here you can see some pics from the treasure hunt!
Flags, definitions and rulesOne of the clues 🙂
We went to Secu lake because there was an exchange with Claudiu. First time we did camp almost all of us (i mean the volunteers), second time it was me and Mustafa helping to Claudiu to manage the rest of the exchange there. Secu is one of the lakes around Reşita which is sooooo freaking nice.
Me and Helene chilling in the nature
Aaaannndddd ta taaaammm! My On Arrival Training…….
Well… finally i went to on arrival (3 months later than normal) ALONE. Yeah, they didnt send me with Mus and Caro so i went alone which was tje best thing could happen. I learnt soooo many things and i met with so many amazing people. We were 3groups in total, and 20 people in my group and i really like almost all the people. And the trainers, Marian and Luciana were amazing. It was really the best 5-6 days of my Evs.
Luciana explaining the programmeMy favourite people from on arrival, one Catalan and on Spanish, Andrea and Lala 🙂Intercultural night 🙂
So yeeeaaahhh…. I want to finish this month with fuuuullll of beautiful feelings and memories and new people in my life. Thanks life, one more time! 🙂
